We present “The Mystery of a Motorized Fish”, the new global justice storybook by Engineering Without Borders.
What happens when a new technology arrives somewhere and transforms the way we relate, play or live? Is it possible to move forward without losing our sense of community?
This new children’s story takes us to a lake where colorful fish love performing synchronized swimming together. But the arrival of a fish with a motorized fin will turn the lake upside down and make everyone want to imitate it. Between flips, jumps and speed, the fish will discover that not everything that seems modern or spectacular ends up being better for everyone.
A story that invites readers to reflect, through humor and adventure, on technology, consumption, collective work and the transformation of our environment.
- Children’s storybook for ages 7 to 9

At Engineering Without Borders, we believe in educational materials that help imagine other ways of relating to technology, resources and community life. Because education is also about opening questions and imagining fairer and more sustainable futures.
📚 Alongside the book, we also organize storytelling activities to bring this story to schools, libraries and educational spaces, creating participatory opportunities to collectively discuss technology, sustainability and community life. Contact us for more information. 🐠💧
