We are: 476 partners, 40 volunteers and 20 hired staff.

The commitment to the people who support us demands that we work with complete rigor, and it is through accountability that we visualize the management of economic resources.

Of every 100 euros executed by ESF:

66 go to international cooperation projects in the field,
20 for awareness-raising and training campaigns in the North,
14 euros to the operation and management of the entity.

The Social Balance/Social Audit systematically evaluates the principles of the Social and Solidarity Economy: equality, quality work, environmental sustainability, cooperation, non-profit and commitment to the environment.

Youth in Internship Program

Engineering Without Borders is part of the Youth Internship Program subsidized by the Public Employment Service of Catalonia and with 40% co-financing from the European Social Fund Plus.

Young Cooperants Programme

Engineering Without Borders takes part in public employment and cooperation programmes that enable the incorporation of young people into the organisation and help strengthen global justice projects. Within this framework, ISF participates in the Young Cooperants Programme, promoted, driven and implemented by the Public Employment Service of Catalonia, and funded by the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation.

Strategic planning 2024 – 2030

The international association of Engineering without Borders (EWB) faces a new stage in the coming years, in which it wants to renew its commitment to the struggle for global justice. A time is opening in which many of the rights that have been conquered are once again in danger; where the planetary limits are becoming more evident, in the face of a capitalist system incapable of generating a different economic system; where war and violence are once again the only way to resolve conflicts.

Faced with this situation, our organization wants to continue working with the popular classes, universities, social movements, administrations and organizations around the world who believe in the need for radical change. Therefore, to be useful in this new time, it is necessary to address some institutional challenges and deploy a new strategy, available at this link.

This Strategic Plan was approved at the general assembly of members in June 2024.
